Are we in the friendliest countries ranking in the world?

Seems like very nice to live in the friendly country, I am surely being pampered by all residents in that country, though I am a foreigner, an experience in Bandung has taught me on how to gauge people based on their friendliness, communication, help, and kindness, especially new ranking of friendliest country just came out make me know how to gauge the country I live currently.

Based on the survey done by Forbes (I hope this is a trustable surveying company), amongst the 2,155 expats in 48 countries in four continents that had been surveyed during the last year (which continent is not included, I also do not know), Canada becomes the most welcoming country in the world because 95% of respondents said Canadians are the best in making friends amongst locals (wow, so great), while the second ranking goes to Germany which respondents had voted 92% (I guess Germany should be in the first ranking because all belowmentioned reasons),the third belongs to Australia with 91% (but need to remember Australia was ranked in the last in joining group categories which means that are good in communicating amongst themselves yet ignoring expats) and last ranking goes to United Arab Emirates, with the percentage of 54%.

The surveys are based on four criteria which are ability to befriend locals, the numbers of people that join a community group, and learn the language and lastly the percentage that buy property. What I can say is that Germany is the most friendliest country in the world because they possess groupthinking and easy to have meeting with people. Besides, they possess a nice interaction between work life and social life. (what a nice correlation as we do not feel tensed while working).

UAE has been placed in the last ranking because of language barrier amongst the expats as China and India are also placed in low ranking because both have used Mandarin and Hindi language respectively as a majority language. Let's imagine if I were an expat, it is quite difficult for to communicate with these three countries as languages that have been used are Arabic, Mandarin, and Hindi, should be the citizens of there countries learned the international language which is English. They actually should learn from Germany because if I were to stop on the street I can easily communicate in English. (because most expats can talk in English). Besides, these three countries were ranked in low positions because of cultural differences, which the Western expatriates have difficulties to adapt with local cultures.

The question is where are we in those ranking? Have we complied to all these criteria to be as Germany? The question lies on our heads, we are the one to decide our ranking.

Taiping Lake garden

Taiping is so peaceful but not as peaceful as Cameron (as I described earlier) because of its Lake Garden, looks so nice but full of history that lying from the conquer of English until today, the existence of trees alongside the road looks so nice, the aroma of people jogging, children play in playground, but the bad thing is that some couples have always been caught for close proximity (in Malay it is famously called as Khalwat) with some religious officer comes over with the other 4 men as witnesses for that misdeeds.

My family and I always jog in the suburban area of lake garden, in Maxwell Hill ( it is named so because before this one of English officer had ruled in Taiping) with breathtaking some of fresh air, (Taiping is the heaviest rain drops in Malaysia) all the diseases seem like run away from our body if we are fit enough, that was what my mum ever talked to me. You are right, mum, sometimes always forget the advices given by you, sometimes too busy with works till forget to work out. Never mind I will take some time to carry out such activities.

Maxwell Hill is one of the coldest hill in Malaysia because the rain drops are too heavy, (sometimes feel hot though especially at night) sometimes most students join the kayaking in lake garden, serenity looks so damn nice, peace always comes to me (as Taiping means peace in Chinese word) with the help of God, I got the nice prize from God, serenity.

Please go away from the hustle and the bustle of the city.. Thanks God I achieve serenity..

Cameron Highland, coldest in peninsula malaysia

In January, my family and I went to the coldest place in peninsula of Malaysia. The temperature was equivalent to that of Bandung's. On the way there, I could feel such a very damn fresh air (because I live in the hustle and the bustle of the city), I got the peace in my heart, as peace as Heaven (but surely Heaven is the most peaceful and unexplainable place), the way to Cameron takes almost 2 hours from my hometown, Taiping ( in Chinese word it means peace but Cameron is more peaceful though), I could see tea plantation, many shops selling strawberry ( I tasted more in Bandung though because cheaper, Cameron quite expensive) and some aboriginal people selling their natural products.

Suddenly, my car got chaos, I became shocked for awhile, air come out from tires and suddenly smelly odors followed. We got trapped in the road, seriously my feeling at that moment was so hesitated and I felt regretted as I was the one who planned all that vacation. My family and I got troublesome because it was so hard to search for car mechanics in the highland plus it was on Chinese New Year holidays ( Sin chin qwai Ler means Happy Chinese New Year not Gong Xi Fa Chai which brings the other meaning; bring you more richer), "My God helps me," said me to my little heart.

Few minutes later, my dad got the strength to drive the car even he noticed that it was so dangerous to drive the car in that condition. I tried to compose my mum, my sis, and my bro, by telling everything would be fine. 1 hour later, we fortunately arrived in one of the city called Brinchang, where there was one workshop still opened (So weird cos it was on Chinese New Year). Anyhow, tq God so much for searching the workshop for us. While waiting for the car to be fixed, we had the best-ever (but not so-ever cos it was being spoilt by tragedy; car brake problem) in Brinchang town by having windows shopping, (my mum had to forget any problems in her mind, I knew, mum). Though it was a small town, but it was historical, as it was built during English conquer.

The car had been fixed and my dad paid for RM80.00 (though I expected more because none of the shops was opened on that special day), and we were on the way back. As on the way back, we bought some vegetables, as we knew the vegetables there were so fresh and big, (anyhow it was damn expensive). My mum bought a lot of fruits, vegetables, my sis bought sourvenirs, as to replace the sadness in our own heart at that moment because our holidays had been spolit. Anyhow, what my dad said it was meaningful as long as we were safe. You were right dad, better alive than dead, God tq a lot.

On the way back, we went to my eldest brother in Ipoh as on the way back to our house, we didnt tell what transpired anyhow what a nice vacation we got, tragedies, all meaningful to us seriously You had saved our lives a lot.

Puncak (most top hills) in Bogor, Indonesia

On the way back from Safari Park, I couldnt forget such a memorable experience in Safari, lotsa mixed feeling, elated, sad, heart broken (because still remember bout the carelessness leaving wallet in the car though already found), and excited. We were gonna approach one of the tourist attraction area which is Puncak. Damn cold seriously said as we reached that place during midnight. I bought cap, gloves and shawl, in order to defense myself from the choking coldness that i never experience in my whole life because i never go to UK or any other cold countries.

In Puncak, not so many people out there, but i could see the mist came over us when air was being blown to us, and once again choking my thin skin. Puncak was about 1 hour from safari park with our drivers (always changing amongst friends) seemed like tired but i could feel like better we took rest. Then, we halted our car in petrol station to have the sweetest corn, so nice i just bought it Rp 5,000 for 8 sticks of corn. Damn cheap because it was already midnight.

We got supper with the sweetest corn in the superb car which can withstand 24 hours driving non-stop. Just halting few minutes to get coldness of air outside car sometimes. We continued our driving to the Bandung to take one of our friends before going to the hot water pond in Lembang, which took 2 hours from Puncak to Bandung, but i could never feel the tiredness as i was the one who slept at the back of the car. so nice and lotsa gratitude to drivers.

In hot water ponds, the temperature in hot water was 40-42 degree celsius. Damn hot after we took cold air in Puncak, this was the next stage of the changing homeostasis in our body, from cold to hot, honestly said this was the first time i went through this seem-to-cry experience, damn hot at first, though it was already 3 in morning but lotsa people in the people taking the hotness of water (not hotness of their bodies)

Then, journey continued by halting our car alongside the road to have taste with rabbit satay. Damn nice with its worthy price as well. Damn expensive Rp 17,000 for 10 sticks. But this was the first experience to eat rabbit satay as our breakfast. And our journey came to the end with one tragedy, motorcycle suddenly made a defect on our rented car, with frustration on our face (because afraid of paying the defects on the car charged by car rental), we searched for the wax that could look like disappeared. It worked lastly tq God. We didnt pay anything at last.

What a nice experience traveling non-stop in 24 hours.

Safari Park in Bogor, Indonesia

Last two weeks, i unpreparedly went to the largest Safari Park in Indonesia which is located in Bogor, West Java, 3 hours from Jakarta. On the way to that park from Bandung, which is also called as Paris Van Java (because Bandung so cold during Netherlands' conquer and now), I saw a lot of people driving with their big cars, approaching Safari Park. There was horrible traffic jam that i never experienced before. My friends and I got stuck in the middle of traffic jam with some ladies selling the fruits to be given to the animals in Safari Park. The price not so expensive as the fruits sold is not for human to eat, but for animals, since like double standard, but anyhow think about God created human as the best creatures that He ever made.

We took almost 1 hour to get rid of all the traffic jam, though Bogor is one of the remotest area in Indonesia, but the condition is like hustle and bustle of the city. Once we arrive at the entrance (we did not take the main entrance but back entrance in order to avoid traffic jam), we need to pay for Rp 50,000 each. We were 7 of us, then we paid and enter the mysterious of my heart that i never experience in my whole life entering the incredible scattered animals surrounding us in a closer distance.

In the first stage, we had seen the zebras, they are really eager to have fruits given by us, unluckily we didnt buy anything from outside, zebras seem like disappointed and got away from us with bad faces. Then suddenly, our hearts were throbbing hard because we were surrounded by lotsa bulls, huh, seriously we were so afraid at that moment because of their attack towards us, we didnt open up our car windows, and suddenly, the bulls made some groups in front of us, so couldnt move forward, we got caught, we were waiting for almost 10 minutes, so that they could be dismissed from their not-appropriately located meeting, "please bulls go away," said to my little heart. Tq God my prayers were answered.

Then, we entered the most hardest and toughest with face became reddish so afraid of lioness spirit came over our heads, we need to horn our cars three times so that gates could be opened and entering a new phase of so-called heart-diminishing phase, lion suddenly approached us and sitting beside us, luckily we got such a hard defense of car doors which protect us from the aroma of human which might attract the lion to have a lunch containing human meat

Our throbbing ended, 30 minutes later, as we went out from the lioness-spirit area, then we went to the elephant dancing area, where we could see the elephants were drawing, what a superb skill, dancing, and giving prizes to the children. So amazing, I never see that before. That was my memorable experience that I never experience anywhere else. Then, we took photograph with leopard, and tigers.

But suddenly, I checked my pocket, where was my wallet, o my God, i got damn trouble, throbbing heart again, really felt damn shit, because i felt like i was dead at that moment, my friends tried so hard to compose me, tq friends, they guessed i left my wallet in the car, their minds were right. So damn relieved. Thank God again.

After that, we were on the way back, most memorable in my whole life
